Terry James Davis

Terry James Davis’s critical power background began in 1995 upon enlistment into the US Navy Nuclear Power program. Terry successfully completed Nuclear Field “A” School for Electrician’s Mates and Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL before moving on to Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, SC. From that point, Terry served aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) for the remainder of his Naval service, completing a world cruise and the first Nimitz class complex overhaul and refueling. During his time in Nimitz’s Reactor Electrical Division, Terry served as Safety Coordinator, Repair Parts and Supply Petty Officer, and Department Drill Team Member.

Upon separation from the Navy in 2001, Terry went immediately to work in Sterling, VA as an Applications Engineer for Bob Wilkens and Kevin McGaughey of Capitol Power, Inc. In this role, Terry was introduced to the commercial world of critical power and was witness to the fledgling first steps of the data center industry. Working directly beneath Bob Wilkens and Kevin McGaughey, Terry was able to receive not only high quality industry training, but an excellent example of work ethic and customer focus. With the expansion of the company over the years, Terry also had opportunities to engage and interact with all elements of the business, from applications engineering and inside sales, to field project management and product/business development.

In beginning Davis Infrastructure, Terry James Davis matches his career-spanning core competencies of critical power system design and deployment with the drive to create something new.

When not problem-solving around the industry, Terry actively serves in his local church, conducts missions trips to Eastern Europe (Balkans-area), and enjoys spending time with family in outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing, hunting, and coaching softball.
